I'M BACK! *Warning* This Post might be a little long

First of all, I want to apologize. I know we haven't lived up to anyone's expectations regarding this blog. Both, my girlfriend and me have been super busy with work and studying that we couldn't keep up with creating creative content. But here I am, taking this time out of my day to write about something I got reminded of again and again in my life. Warning, it might be a little philosophical.

So, as I mentioned, me and my girlfriend have been busy. But I'm not going to write about what we did because I don't think anyone would be interested. Instead, I want to talk about what changes personality-wise and in terms of character when you live in a relationship. I don't know if anyone is interested in that either but here we go. Hahaha.

I want to start with the facts. I'm 20 years old and my girlfriend is 19. We have been in a relationship for 2 years and 2 months now. Although, we started dating in highschool, it was not your typical movie-like lovestory. But that doesn't matter. What matters in this post is, how I have changed in the course of this partnership. For instance, my mentality changed a lot. Before we started dating I'd say I was more selfish than now. Even the first months I was thinking more about myself and trying to treat myself well, rather than my girlfriend. I realized that pretty fast and it has never been like that ever since.

One thing that does baffle me a lot is, the difference between being alone and being in company of the person you love the most. Imagine yourself at a bus stop. You walk up the bus stop and check your clock to see how long you have to wait for the bus. Imagine it's 10 minutes. (Again, this is very personally speaking, so you might disagree, but let's continue.) If you were alone at that bus stop you would be pissed. You would think something like "shit, why do I have to wait so long. I just wanna get home." or something along those lines. Now, imagine the same scenario, but while you wait for the bus you look at your partner. You smile. You hold his/her hand. You kiss. And all of a sudden, the bus shows up. Time flew by so quickly. And deep down you would've hoped the bus wasn't going to come this early because you don't want this moment to end. This special moment with the most special person you know.

I actually think a lot of people will be able to relate to this. Your whole mentality will change when you get into a serious relationship. I'm not talking about one-nighters here. I'm talking about serious, long-term relationships. You start to think about little gifts for your partners. Letters. What food you could surprise them with. You plan dates. It takes up the majority of your time and I think it should be like that. Making your soulmate happy shouldn't have a time restriction. Or thought restriction, if that makes sense.

What I'm trying to say here is, that especially men that don't invest time in their partner, are doing something wrong. And even if it might not be cool to do it infront of your friends or whatever. Well, you chose to be in this relationship. If you can't bring enough effort into it, it maybe was the wrong decision. For me, my partner is everything. This girl is the most beautiful and most precious human being I know. And ever will know. We are planning our future. Where we want to travel. Where we want to live. What jobs we might get into. And honestly, planning this with the person you love most, is such a gift. The human brain often isn't able to comprehend how special something is. Most of the times, you'll realize it when you have already lost it. And I don't want that to happen. And I think no one who is in a serious relationship wants that.

So. What I try to do is remind myself. Remind yourself how special your partner is. Remind yourself how precious the time you spend together really is. And if that's hard to do. Imagine how it would be without your significant other. Then it'll be easier. Getting to know someone is often a serious of coincedences. Life is too short to be grieving all the time. Or being sad all the time. Be happy. Spread love and positivity. Man, I'm sounding like a preacher. My message is: Men, protect your girl. I'm sure I will.

Thanks for reading.

The next Step.

While the people on earth took their sweet little time to find out that the robots had sent the drone, the evil species already planned their next move. It was obvious that they wanted to attack the earth, specifically Benjiro and his school. The question was when it was going to happen. The training for the younger generation was still going on. While most younger robots were doing fine, there were also weaker, less developed ones who dropped out of the group. One robot that stood out in particular proved to be ready for a big fight. Although  he was part of the younger group he showed off his skills in little trainings and satisfied the instructors. He was destined to attack. His real passion was fighting and achieving the robot’s ultimate goal. Global dominance. He was the son of Hunter 2k, the leader of the robots. Most of his kind called him Junior. He was trained so well that even in his free time he would keep working so he could be as ready as possible for the big attack.
Meanwhile, back on earth Gordon and his crew called out a state of emergency. They started to prepare for any danger. Everybody was worried, especially Itoe. She wasn’t worried for herself. She didn’t want to lose a close friend. Her best friend.

A Glimps of the Past.

„What did Gordon say?“, a natural sense of curiosity came out of Itoe. She was the most mature of the group. Every time something had happened in the past, she was the one to keep her cool and ell everyone what to do. The biggest incident was when wild wolves had attacked a few years ago the school and brutally tried to kill students and teachers. Sadly, they had limited success. While the school had the upper hand because of their already well developed magic, they had to make sacrifices. In honor of a fallen teacher, the school decided to create something to remember him. At the entrance of the school, right in front of the main doors they had built a monument. Although it was made out of hard stone and bronze people remembered him for his soft heart and love for knowledge.
„It is a device which is used to spy on your enemies.“, Benjiro replied instantly. All three, including Notomi were sitting in the lobby. They loved this place because it was quiet most of the times. „I don’t know what that meant guys. To me, Gordon looked very worried… Keep your eyes open guys.“ They looked at each other for some moments. Ben looked at Itoe. Notomi was eating candy. No one knew where she had all that candy. Her pockets were packed. Every money she had must’ve gone into the little shop next to their favorite place. Maybe that was also a reason why Notomi loved this place so much. „I don’t know what’s going to happen, Ben. But somehow, whoever wants to attack, want you. What do you have what enemies desire?“, Itoe said in his direction. He had no reply for that. It started raining. A few minutes ago they heard birds sing outside. All that noise faded away. It looked like a big storm was ready to hit the school. Was that a metaphor?

Disturbing news.

The next morning Ben was planning his day. After his early morning history lesson, he would knock at the door of the headmaster’s office. The theme of the lesson was old school magic. Benjiro was sitting in the last row next to Itoe. She was still thinking about the letter and the inevitable dangers that may or may not occur in the coming weeks. „Most wands some centuries ago were made out of birch wood. The richer among the society let them manufacture their wands out of mahogany.“, Mrs. Kim shouted and woke some from their daydream. She had been their history teacher since they had joined the school. She was a middle-aged brunette with glasses. Some students identified her lessons as the more relaxing ones. They tend to pay attention to other things like other students or their phones. But not Ben. He loved history. He had a passion for magic in it’s baby steps. The development and discoveries of the past was really his passion. His friends never seem to have that much interest in it, but sometimes he just didn’t care and went on to talk about a certain topic for hours, sometimes even for days. Recently, he wanted to find out everything about the battle his mother was involved in. So far, he didn’t stumble upon anything.
After the bell rang, everybody got up and packed together their stuff. Every student was walking toward their locker to get ready for the next period. Benjiro thought otherwise. In his backpack he had the unidentified object for the headmaster. He didn’t tell anybody about it. He struggled to fall asleep last night. His mind was racing. He was asking himself so many questions. About him. About his mother. About the mysterious thing on the ledge. Why it landed on his of all windows.
Benjiro knocked on the door, hoping for some answers. „Mr. Gordon?“, Benjiro’s voice filled with a little bit of sadness. All of a sudden the door opened. Mr. Gordon was an American. He started taking over the school a few years ago after his japanese forerunner announced his retirement.
„Ben, it’s nice to see you. Why did you decide to knock on my door?“, his voice was very deep and manly. „Something woke me last night. Some weird object landed on my window ledge.“, the teenager was still looking for answers. Ben handed Mr. Gordon the metallic device. After receiving the item, he sat down in shock. He was looking back and forth between Ben and the device. „That’s highly worrying, Ben.“, Gordon finally began to talk. „I’ve just recently talked with my colleagues about that. This, my young friend is a drone.“, Ben wanted to know more. „So who sent it? And why?“
„Judging by the material and the high-tech manufacturing, this comes from a more progressed race than we are. Someone is trying to spy on us. We will further investigate. For now, you can leave, Benjiro. Thank you very much for coming to me.“, he seemed to be in a rush.

„Sure. No problem Sir.“, Ben left Mr. Gordon’s office. While he his worries rose from all the things that have happened recently, he was happy to eat lunch with his friends. And who knows. Maybe Notomi shared his food with him again.

Discovering the Past and the Future.

While the robots planned their next move, Benjiro couldn’t sleep. Back on earth life seemed to go by very fast. Ben didn’t really pay attention in any class. Everything he could think about was the letter. He had already read it, but still didn’t know whether he should tell his friends about it or not. But today was the day. Today he would have the guts to sit them down in his room and talk about it. Right before dinner he texted them to come to his room. Minutes later they would all be together. „Mr. Ackerman gave me a letter a few weeks ago.“, he said while hoping that they would keep the information to themselves. „Really? What does it say?“, Itoe replied with curiosity.
„It’s from my mother.“
„Wait. Really?“
„Yes. Really. He gave it to me last week after the lesson.“
„This is very interesting. Tell us about it already!“, Notomi joined the conversation.
They kept talking and the girls paid close attention to Benjiro. His mother wrote that she played a big role in one of the biggest fights in the history. She was fighting for the rights of the human race. She also mentioned that he fought alongside Michael. Thinking that she might lose her life in this war she prepared this letter for Benjiro. Over some pages she explained how her had suddenly turned and what that meant for the family. Eventually, the human race won the war, but that wasn’t it. They knew that the humans were not safe for long. Together with Ben’s dad they tried everything to guarantee him a good education. They had all their hopes for the future on him. Long story short. His purpose of life was saving the world. Itoe and Notomi had different reactions. First of all, Notomi was eating chips all the time since Ben started explaining. Itoe was worried for him. She knew the risks involved. „No matter what happens Ben. I’ll always fight next to you. You will never be on your own.“, she paused for a second. „That’s what we are here for guys. We are getting prepared for situations like this. I admit, I didn’t expect it to be such an intense situation, but still. That’s why we are in this school.“ Ben nodded in appreciation.
The rest of the evening was eventless. They ate together and spoke about everyday stuff. After the little get - together they returned to their rooms and soon after went to sleep.

A few hours later, Ben awoke all of a sudden. He turned to his bedside table to check the time. It was 3:42 am. He woke up because of a noise outside. He was rubbing his eyes to clear his vision. He sat up, got into his slippers and walked towards the window. There was something laying on the ledge. Benjiro was uneasy about it. He didn’t know what it was. Also, he was too tired to have a clear mind. He opened the window, grabbed whatever it was and laid it next to his bed. On the next day he would bring it to the headmaster’s office to let him investigate. It's a fact that the whole school would worry about it. But for now, all he wanted to do was go back to sleep.
